How to Schedule

ScheduleBase reserves two areas for every person on the schedule. The top area is where you will enter a person's schedule. The bottom (shaded) area will show a person's regular availability and any requests that they may have entered.

Schedule a person by clicking the top area of the day, type in the schedule text and press the Save button.

To speed things up, ScheduleBase allows you to check other days with the same schedule. You can also right-click to Copy and Paste days directly on the Schedule page.

TIP You can also copy a schedule up to six weeks into the future. See Copying Schedules for more information.

Time Formats

Presets
Presets are a list of common shifts and other terms that appear frequently on the schedule. Select Presets from the Options menu on the Schedule page. Items listed can now be quickly selected when you schedule. This will greatly speed up scheduling and make your schedules more consistent.

Note Any changes you make to Presets will be shared by all users on this schedule.

Note Users designated as 'Self Schedulers' cannot edit Presets.

Multi Week Displays

ScheduleBase allows Administrators and Schedulers to schedule in a two, three or four week display. Select desired number of weeks from the Options menu on the Schedule page.

Note The usability of some of these multi-week displays depends greatly on the size of your monitor and the amount of information that you schedule.

Tip Try using the Zoom feature in your browser. This can reduce the size of the text in each cell allowing you to see more information on smaller monitors.
